History of excellence
For more than three decades, community leaders, established business executives and young professionals have enjoyed downtown Sarasota's only private metropolitan club for business and social engagements.
Since opening its doors in 1970, The Sarasota University Club has maintained its preeminent social position. The membership represents the business and social leadership of the community, and its ambience and gracious hospitality make it the ideal setting to entertain clients, friends, and family.
PLAQUES
As you enter The Sarasota University Club you will notice alumni plaques adorn both sides of the entry foyer. Plaques can only be purchased by members on behalf of the club. Each one is hand made and painted by York Insignia of Peterborough England. Each plaque includes the name of alumni, college or university name and date of graduation. During the past 35 years, the club has aquired over 220 plaques representing club member colleges and universities. There is no restriction on the number of plaques from any college, or university as they represent each Sarasota University Club members alumni affiliation and date of graduation.
